A short introduction on the GIZ project

In late 2021 GIZ granted a contract to Greenstand to roll out an environmental and awareness campaign under a covid release funding. The implementing organisation of this grant is Greenstand and as the local partners there is Kijani Pamoja (an environmental organisation focusing on tree growing and awareness campaigns) and Alama (a PR and creative writing consultancy). About 25% of the total amount is allocated for implementing a two directional communication feature through the Treetracker app to be able to 'push' content to the grower in order to not only alert about weather events and pests but also about health related threats such as Covid outbreaks.
