General information about the impact map application

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Summary

A way for tree donors to view, manage and track their sponsored trees.

This is meant to be displayed by other organizations, by embedding on other websites or sharing specific links to projects.

Unique Value Proposition

Greenstand focuses on growing trees and views tree planting as merely the first step in a journey of several years ahead. Planting is easy, growing is hard.

For Sponsors and Donors

Whether you planted five, five hundred or five million trees the Treetracker is designed to measure, verify and increase your long-term impact, however large it is. We provide a framework for transparency and follow up that pen and paper cannot guarantee.

For Planting Organizations

Display and measure the impact of your tree planting efforts by creating an ongoing interaction between your donors, your planters and your trees by tracking each individual tree using our digital tool anywhere in the world. Share all trees you have planted or one specific tree - GreenStand's tree tokening system allow each verification of a tree to be moved between wallets. Which allows each donation or sale to be linked to a specific tree or set of trees.

PRIMARY USERS

Individual donors

People who want to view, manage, track, play with and share the trees they paid for.

  • Private Individuals or business owners who form a highly educated, high income demographic. They are risk-taker investors or altruistic donor individuals or companies. They like data.

  • They are likely to be experienced and skeptical donors who have money to donate but need to be convinced their money will create an impact.

  • Social-media savvy individuals who want to leverage their donation and earn do-good bragging rights, but at the same time will promote the cause.

Organizations

Large and small companies that want to view, track, manage or publicly display the trees they plant.

Example use cases:

  • Rebekah, an individual donor, donated 100 USD and was now emailed a tree token with 100 trees on it. Now she wants to name her tree, style her photos of trees and share them on her social media.

  • A small company plants trees and needs verification for their efforts, so they could raise funds to plant more. They want to display this publicly on their website, as a way to demonstrate their social and environmental impact. Example: [Ten Tree](www.tentree.com] or Amour Vert

  • A marketing company is selling trees to other companies. They want to be able to give their users trees with a branded experience.
