Grant Timeline & Team Approach

Grant Proposal Timeline - you can post new opportunities + accompanying documentation using the Slack channel "grants" to outline timelines. Below is a suggested approach.

Offer 4 open Call Periods for each grant with deadlines using Slack, as follows:

  • Call for Ideas - decide which focus area/how much to ask for

  • Call for Content - provide answers to questions/content for proposal

  • Call for Edits - revisions to content, grammar & spelling, format, etc.

  • Call for Final Suggestions - open for any feedback, but no big changes

Ideally we'd give at least a week for each call period so that all team members have time to provide their input. Although that may seem slow turn around, taking about a month to write a grant is very reasonable for such a large and scattered volunteer team. For rapidly approaching deadlines, slim down the call periods & to get the proposal out faster.

Team Content Review

Please adhere to the Content Review Process below by using the Slack "grants" channel to ensure team members have reviewed & approved all materials before submission. Typically we hope to get at least 2 "thumbs up" emojis from core team members to show the review has taken place & approved for submission.
