# Notes Field Business Logic

Notes field formats ( **notes field comes from data collection on site**)

* A number indicates a re-track
* Some captures (trees table) have just the species in the notes field
* Some captures (trees table) have a code that indicates species and other information
  * Example: WeliC10leamtree
    * C10 - catchment
    * Weli - nursery
    * leamtree - species
  * Example: ATC10whiteteak1077
    * 1077 is the nursery number code

Species is also available for some trees in the species column (if and admin panel operator added this - **species field comes from the admin panel** ) 

* Species column supercedes data in the notes field.
